Custom Car Build & Classic Car Restoration in Lincolnshire

If you have made your way over to this page then it is probably because of your love of cars.
A true love affair, I tend to veer towards the more unusual, less sort after and generally not as popular. As my love affair has grown the friendships with those who have a similar passion has too. After being approached by several friends to restore their beloved cars whether purchased with a goal in mind or a car left to languish for years, I decided to enter into the world of car restoration for the more classic vehicle.

After much ‘too and fro’ with various setbacks and ‘put rights’ the Scimitar bursts into life albeit a bit noisy! Now we knew it would run, next job is to go through the raft of jobs to do, come up with a plan with the owner and get cracking πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘πŸΌ. #megasquirt #reliant #fordbop #restomod #custommade #classiccar

More pipes, cables and testing testing testing. The unseen work that goes unnoticed, but is actually more important than the bits you see 😎

Update on the Senator revival. This project has had to sit a while gathering dust unfortunately, but the time came to get this 90’s big 6 back to her former glory. First off was to renew the suspension bushes all round, treat her to new shocks up from and overhaul the braking system. A new exhaust silencer was needed, but because these are no longer made one was trialed courtesy of a Vauxhall Omega, which by chance only needed the mounts modifying to give a perfect fit. After which the underneath was given a liberal waxoil along with the cavities to keep the tinworm at bay for a while. Next on the list will be get the old girl ready for paint πŸ˜‰

Since the wee Viva has had a 600% power increase I thought the standard 1256 axle may need to be looked at 🀣 So a 4HA from a reliant Scimitar was sourced and then modified to suit. A combination of a tall gearset and Jaguar ‘powerlock’ diff will mean that cruising to shows and managing double figures maybe possible lol. After narrowing the axle 4.5″ overall by myself and having a local company re-spline the half shafts the diff itself was rebuilt & set up by AJS Engineering services who I would highly recommend.
