A very rare find, one for my GMC hauler. A Spicer brown-lipe splitter box to give is a little bit of overdrive on longer runs so the 6BT is sat in it's comfort zone a bit more. Sourced on American eBay and then shipped by a good friend of mine from the states, an inspection revealed the internals in absolutely perfect condition. Rebuild of a rare LC engine for a project. Something a little different. This particular engine was an early unit with only test mileage on it. The internals like new, just ancillaries that needed to be renewed along with some small repairs such as to the sump which had been cracked. Since the engine will be mates to a BMW 530d manual gearbox an adaptor was designed and made by HELIX so that the BMW parts could be used directly onto the original LC flywheel. Something a little different. After wanting a Massey Fergie 135 for years, (used to drive one with my grandfather from an early age) an opportunity arose via a good friend of mine who's father sadly passed away. As part of his estate a Solo Beet harvester was discovered under 60' conifer tree's. Powering the beet harvester was a MF135 multipower. It had stood idle for 40+ years. A new battery was put on, some diesel put in the filters and a bit of tinkering and to everyone's surprise the engine burst into life first turn of the key!
